I will not bore you with the details, but suffice it to say that I have been through five or six health crisis’ over the last number of years with 2 of them being directly related to the way I eat. This comes on both learned patterns from my childhood, and bad habits I developed as an adult. As I try to improve myself in the area of having a more healthy eating style, I would like to share this journey with you so that you can take any lessons from my experience that you may need. I will try to deliver my ‘nuggets’ of wisdom in as easily digestible segments as possible. So, without further delay, let’s get started!

Becoming a healthy eater means you have to become both
educated and smart about what healthy eating
really is. If you are food smart, this doesn’t mean you know how to calculate grams or fat, nor does is it
mean that you are studying label contents or that you are counting calories.

Healthy eating is all about balanced and moderate
eating, making sure that you have healthy meals at least
three times per day. Healthy eaters enjoy a wide variety of foods, not limiting themselves
to one specific food type or food group.

Eating healthy needs you to give yourself a little bit of leeway. Maybe You
eat too much, or to little. Or you consume
foods that are of differing nutritional value.
One thing that you need to make sure that you do is to always give your body and
your brain enough food on a regular basis to keep
yourself strong and alert in both mind and body.

If you are a healthy eater, you are a good problem solver. Healthy
eaters have learned to take care of themselves
and their eating with good judgement and the executing of
wise decisions. You are always aware
of what you put into your body, and know exactly what it will do to you.

If your eating gets out of control, you are also likely to be out of control
with other areas of your life as well. You can (and will)
end up spending too much money, talking too much, even
going to bed later and later. Now these symptoms are not mutually exclusive to your eating being out of control, but if you are honest and straight forward with yourself, you will be able to figure out what the root causes of those actions are.

You should realize that if you cut back on your food intake,
it is always not a good thing. Healthy eating
is a life long pursuit, something that you can do to
improve both your body and your lifestyle. If you’ve
thought improving your life in any way, healthy
eating is a good place to start. You’ll make
life better for yourself, and
every one else around you.
